How to get a Nigerian Birth Certificate for your Baby

Congratulations!! I'm guessing you probably just had your bundle of joy.
The Nigerian Birth Certificate is issued by the National Population Commission.
You will be given a Birth Certificate at the hospital you give birth once you have completed all the necessary documentation.
You the proceed to the National Population Commission and it's pretty straightforward if you are Nigerian and gave birth in Nigeria. I cannot speak for other scenarios.
Birth Certificate Process (For Abuja)

  • Go to National Population Commission (NPC), Masaka close, Zone 7
  • The Birth Certificate is Free for the first 60 days after the baby is born
  • You pay a #4000 if your baby is older than 60 days
  • Documents Required: Birth Certificate/Notification from hospital & Valid ID
  • You will be given a form to fill and submit
  • It takes 2-3 days for the certificate to be ready and you'll get a call or an sms to come for collection
  • Go for Collection of the Birth Certificate
It's best to process and collect your baby's birth certificate as soon as you can. It is the accepted proof that you are the parents of your baby and you will need it for any visa processing for international travel. You can scan it so you have a soft copy, laminate the hard copy and keep it in a safe place as your child will need it in the future.

Harmattan Blues

Harmattan is our West African version of  Winter with dust in place of snow. The weather has been hot/cold, foggy, dry, windy and dusty. *Sigh. This occurs around the end of each year from around November and can stay till March/April in Nigeria. It is more severe and prevalent in the Northern parts of Nigeria, Abuja gets hit less than Kaduna and Kaduna has it easier than Jos, etc. Basically it gets worse the more upnorth u go. I spent the Christmas of 2014 in Kaduna and the harmattan was terrible!! Christmas of 2015 was in Abuja and it was bad but still not as bad as Kaduna. This weather is mostly bittersweet, it gets so hot during the day while the weather is still dry, dusty and windy and in the evening it gets super cold, dry, windy, dusty and sometimes foggy till the early hours of the morning. By the way it would be nice for our Nigerian Fashion Designers to design outfits suited to our seasons e.g. Harmattan instead of Autumn, Winter and the likes wey we no get.
So below is a list of the Pros & Cons for me during the Harmattan season.
Pros
  • Anything  u wash dries fast
  • Roaches/Spiders just die naturally due to the cold weather i guess (i just stumble on dem and sweep dem up happily)
  • Its so cold especially at night so u will hardly sweat or need to use the Air Conditioner which in turn saves us electricity units
  • My foodstuff in the pantry (yam, sweet potatoes, etc.) store better during this season
  • My face seems to love this weather. I hardly have breakouts, my black spots have been peeling and fading off and it makes me exfoliate more.
Cons
  • There is dust everywhere!! and if you have blinds in ur house, u know it is the worst!! All my living room and bedroom windows are closed but somehow the dust still finds its way in. I have to dust every other day and lets not even talk about leaving ur car windows down. Its soooo annoying
  • I'm constantly sneezing and easily get nose bleeds  'cos of all the dust and dry, cold air
  • Its easy to get a Cold (flu) and Catarrh
  • My nails become so brittle and break easily no matter how much cream, oil i use on them, so i just file them low during this period
  • Having my daily shower is a proper chore! I bathe with cold water and have to employ different tactics to get water on my body and be done with the shower asap else i end up with chattering teeth and shivering. Too much for just a bloody shower mahn!
  • Everything shocks 'cos of Static Electricity, opening the door, tap, even taking of your clothes and i get zapped! *Sheesh!
  • Dry hair and scalp. I have to spritz my hair with a mix of water and rosewater every other day so its not a crispy, crackling mass. Even that is not enough, i still have to wash my hair when it gets really bad, thankfully i have kinky braids on at the moment.
  • Dry, Peeling, Sensitive and Ashy skin. Arrrgh... I practically layer on shea butter and oils on my body daily and before i'm even out the door my skin is dry like i did nothing! I have to rub on about 2 layers and still carry a travel size one in my bag to reapply as needed. If i don't do this my skin looks whitish grey and starts to peel and can even hurt when i try to move 'cos its so dry; and oh yeah its also really easy to get cuts, even from just itching.
  • Crusty lips. Like i don't have enough issues already, i gotta constantly have balm on my lips otherwise it becomes so dry it splits, cracks and bleeds and hurts. Even with the balm, i still have to peel off dry skin or exfoliate my lips for a smooth feel & look
  • The cold, dry air is soo annoying and feels stale if that makes any sense. I miss fresh breezy air
  • Gotta drink warm and hot stuff to stay warm
  • It can get sooo sunny, dry and hot during the day
I know people with Sickle Cell Anaemia, Joint issues and Asthma have it the worst during this season. Here are some articles i came across online as regards Harmattan and how it affects our health and well-being and how to cope with it.

Tying Gele Myself

You guys already know i love weddings. I love playing dressup and getting my face beat and effritin on fleek. lol. The look is neva quite complete though without a 'gele' (headtie) adorning my head, the beautiful piece that brings the whole look together, whether aso-oke, sego, net, etc. I love how the 'gele' can take my look from basic to diva, whenever i'm in a traditional attire, that being said, tying gele is not an easy something!
Without Gele
With Gele
Look is just not complete without a Gele
You have to have had some practice to get the fabric into pleats and then properly lined up, it is also quite an arm workout achieving this feat. This is why the majority of women would rather stop by a makeup studio, on their way to the wedding ceremony, to have it tied for them or get someone come over and do the tying. This service usually costs between N500 to N2000, for me anyway, and when it's on the higher end it honestly pains me to give out this money; so i decided it was time to learn to get it done myself, instead of sulking everytime i had to get my gele tied.
Tying this Gele cost N2000
Where would i learn this skill for free? i have had a number of failed attempts trying to freestyle. My beloved YouTube of course! Same place i learnt how to get my makeup on point and a couple of other things, the only thing i had to sacrifice was my data and it was worth it. I got to work searching for videos and downloaded the relevant ones, up next was practising. I started practising with my softest gele fabric then tried my hands on my 'Sego gele' and rocked it to an event. Everyone said i did a good job. *big grin* Next up will be 'aso-oke', i'll let you know how that goes, in the meantime i'll keep practising armed with pins *wink. I must say, tying gele is quite an arm workout.
Below are pics of the gele i tied after watching vids & practising. i tried ba *wink
Tied myself (1st attempt)
Free of charge (DIY) :D
2nd attempt
3rd attempt
3rd attempt (ma fave so far)

Disclaimer: I am not this fresh in reality o, I wish! Na camera, lighting and editing help my condition. lol.
Here's my fave Youtube Channel (Chichichikito) with all the info on how to tie different styles and types of gele. I hope you find this post useful and inspires a DIY gele so you can stop doling out cash for this service like i have.

Silent Tears Trailer (2015)

The hypocrisy embraced by law enforcers in the name of "sanitizing" the streets who patronize the supposed culprits in kind or cash while they arrest those that don't 'cooperate'. Abuse of power.
The fear of detainment/assault women unaccompanied by men face when they are out at night, whether to hail a cab or meet up friends.
The archaic mentality that only women are/can be prostitutes and every/any woman alone on the street at a time considered "ungodly" is a prostitute and should be arrested/detained/molested without question.
I lived in one of the busy part of Wuse 2 where prostitutes did frequent and many 24hour businesses functioned. I could not comfortably stand on the street to hail a cab from 7pm out of fear that the authorities can show up at anytime and i could be arrested/detained/molested with no opportunity for explanation or to defend myself. We have heard the stories and no one wants to be a victim.

I wrote a post here in 2012 about my experience with the Nigerian Police authorities when we were stopped at a police checkpoint. A guy was driving and we were 2 girls in the car, next thing we were told to drive down with them to their station because we were assumed to be prostitutes!! Furious is an understatement of how i felt as i was very well dressed unlike usual nights i'm out with friends, i wonder what the story would have been if it was.

I applaud this documentary. Definitely long overdue. There must be a better way to "sanitize" the streets of Abuja without preying on the freedom of movement of Women.

Nigerian Immigration Service "Long thing"

My Experience (March 2014)
Immigration is the most annoying part of travelling for me. I know they keep our borders safe and all that kinda stuff but is there really no way for them to be more effective? I'm speaking in particular about the Nigerian Immigration Service, the last time i had to go to the immigration office was in 2008 to get my International Passport in Lagos, it was my 1st time there and fortunately i went with my dad, so we did not have to queue for too long before we were attended to. It was pretty straightforward, i filled the documents they gave me, got my face and signature captured when it was my turn on the queue and Voila! i left. My dad eventually picked up the passport for me.
5years later, my International Passport expired and i had to get another one. This would be my 2nd experience at the immigration office, this time around it was in Abuja and i have to say it was one of the most stressful experiences of my life!!!! I started by visiting the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) website so i could find out the procedure and required documents for the process. I noticed a section about all payments for immigration services now being done online, i was impressed! this would ease of the stress of going to the bank and joining the beeline queues i thought; i couldn't have been more WRONG!! I checked their 'Table of fees' to find out exactly how much the renewal would cost before proceeding to their portal to apply online and make payment, all of this was pretty straight forward and i printed all the documents. Next thing to do was to visit their office to get my face and signature captured before it would be processed (You are supposed to be automatically scheduled for an interview date, which you can then reschedule, once you have made payment and also be able to track your application status) and after that go to their office again to pick up, if only it were that easy.
Their Abuja office is located towards the outskirts of town on the way to the airport and their opening hours are 9am to 4pm or so, which is regular office hours meaning that i have to go there during work hours and because of the distance and queues, i can't go back to work from there. This was my dilemma, how to take a whole day off to go to their office and who will take me there as i had no intention of paying a high cab fare or entering a bus and trekking in. Na so i procrastinate going to their office till it was April. I was given the no. of one of their officers to contact to ease my stress.
There was NOTHING on their website, at the time, stating that your payment would have a validity period and expires after 6months meaning you would have to make another payment after expiration, asides that my payment was not even up to 6months but the officer in charge claimed it was no longer in the system and i would have to make another payment. WOWWWW!!!! na so my money just enter voicemail o my people.
The thing is most of these Government officers hate when you pay for services online as the tips they want can't pass their hands so they make life as difficult as possible for we that choose to embrace the digital age and do everything online. My payment could have easily been on the system but since i cannot access it myself, i have to take their word for it and also they know i won't want to waste money, time and energy again so i'll end up paying in cash to one of the officers to get the process over and done with. This is how they frustrate Nigerians by creating bottlenecks so you have no choice but to end up using them directly for services instead of the systems set up and keep their internal cabals running. Truth is i don't entirely blame them, check the salary schedule of the govt. officers and you'll know why this back-end system thrives.

Back to my story, I eventually had to pay 15k to the officer that was to "help" me to start the process all over again. That's how i ended up paying 24k in total for this my new passport o-e pain me die!!- (i would have paid about the same amount going straight through the back route i might add)  and i got married just some days after i got it. Hian! No way i'm goin through that ordeal again for a change of name in a new passport, so i'm still bearing my maiden name for strictly official purposes, since my Int'l Passport is all i have as my official ID for now.
The officer wrote the necessary letters needed and got the necessary approvals n all while i waited for hours. He assured me my next trip would be just for biometric capture. I wish this was the case.
On my 2nd trip, I was supposed to just have the biometric capture done asap and wait a bit to get my passport, this was not the case. I spent about 2hrs waiting and behold my file was nowhere to be found. I eventually took my leave with another 'assurance' that my file will be found and it will all be sorted out before my next trip there.
On my 3rd trip, I got there around 11:30am and sat with other visitors patiently waiting in the waiting area situated outside the premises on the iron chair under the angry sun. By 1pm, i was ushered into a private office to continue my wait in a cushier chair under the much appreciated AC. By 3pm, i was ushered into a VIP section, way cooler and way smaller crowd with 3 capture machines functioning very well, i waited there patiently hoping this will be my last bus-stop, in my dreams oo. I had  to leave and join d general queue, not my lucky day-seems the officer in charge of my file hadn't tipped d necessary ppl. I had no intention of goin thru dis BS a 4th time so i took matters into my own hands and hustled my way into the biometric capture room for the general populace. I was eventually able to get captured with the one machine working. What a day!
The officer eventually met me up in town with my passport some days later.
Really glad I don't v to do dis again till anoda 5yrs. I hadn't been that stressed in a long while, not even from planning my wedding.

Hubby's Experience (May 2015)
Hubby got his done within 2days, he went only twice. He paid 25k and was giving VIP treatment all through from the waiting area, i might add he didn'y wait more than 20 minutes on both trips, where he did the necessary paperwork to where he did his biometric capture (remember that VIP room i mentioned in my story above? Yuupp, that's the one). He was called when it was ready for pickup and Voila! He has his renewed passport, why can't it be this easy and straightforward with the regular system? because the officers gotta make money outside their pay, that's why. *smh. See why people prefer to just follow the back route straight up. sigh.
I do hope the NIS portal eventually becomes functional and effective so we can get our Int'l Passport at the normal rates not 2x or 3x the price.

Happy Democracy Day Nigerians!!

Happy Democracy Day my fellow Nigerians. This day has always been memorable for us and moreso today (May 29,2015) because power changes hands on this day. (former) President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan will hand over the affairs of Nigeria to President Muhammadu Buhari.
The President, Vice-president, State Governors and their Deputies have been sworn in. We all hope this era brings about the much needed positive change Nigeria deserves. It is not necessarily the dawn of a new era per se, more of a recycling in my opinion, most of the people being sworn in have previously held politically appointed posts, even President Muhammadu Buhari who was the Head of State of Nigeria in 1983 under the military regime.
We can only hope that their minds have been refined and renewed to take Nigeria and its citizens to a better place, viable, stable & progressive, instead of being clouded with greed, quest for power and corruption.
Nigeria has dodged many bullets in recent times and has still held strong and united, from Boko Haram attacks to the Ebola outbreak, Elections and most recently Fuel (Diesel, Petrol, Kerosene) Scarcity. I commend the former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan for taking his loss in good faith. I imagine his party members, legislators and some of his friends and family will not have taken his decision well but if there was any one good patriotic thing he did for his country, it was not fighting his loss.
The newly sworn-in President Muhammadu Buhari has assured all Nigerians of his intent to keep the oath he has made. He has been quoted saying "I belong to everybody and I belong to nobody" during his inaugural speech, if he stays true to his words then we may be in for a good run afterall.
We can only hope for the best as we play our individual roles in making our great country a better place.

"Hip-Hop is only for Children"

We get home from Salamander Cafe where I just purchased Onyeka Nwelue's latest release "Hip-Hop is only for Children". I'm so giddy and can't wait to bury my face in the book. The Generator is on, I settle into my Sofa and turn on the TV to watch Skin Wars, 20 mins in,the light dims and goes out.
Yup. Diesel has finished I tell my hubby, I turn off the UPS and open the windows for fresh air to come in. I recall that only minutes ago AEDC (a part of the dissolved PHCN a.k.a NEPA) had sent me a bulksms to apologise for the drop in electricity supply-how amusing. I put on the rechargeable lamp, turn on some slow jams on my laptop and plug my phone to my power bank as hubby dozes off to wonderland. I pick up my newly acquired novel, admiring the witty front cover and pweety bookmarker with the author's image on it before i proceed to peruse the book from the half title page to introduction after reading the author's bio.
I smile as a warmth spreads through me,ever brazen Onyeka, I'm definitely gonna enjoy this book so I'm gonna take it jeje till NEPA/PHCN/AEDC or whatever new name dey go by decide to restore electricity or till all my appliances run out of power. For now,my spirits are up with hubby's head in my lap as I fan both of us and swat at the mosquitoes that made it into the house. The music and words of the novel soothe me.Its 9pm, Saturday.
Chapter 3, Page 58, 11.58pm. I slide my bookmarker in, its time for a shut-eye.this is as jeje as I can go. The rechargeable lamp has dimmed considerably, the laptop is still going strong churning out sweet melodies with its battery drained halfway, still no electricity supply. I plug all appliance so they can charge up whenever they decide to restore light w/o interrupting my sleep. Thankfully its a breezy cool night, gotta sleep nude to make d most of it. As I crawl into bed and my eyelids start to close, I make 2 mental notes -Gotta get diesel tomorrow and also drown the house in insecticide, let the mosquitoes feast tonight.{This was during the period of the #Fuelscarcity (Petrol, Diesel, Kerosene) that rocked the nation, NNPC/MOMAN/NARTO were all on strike, Airlines cancelled flights, Banks closed from 1pm, Telco's (MTN, Airtel, Etisalat) spread the word that mobile network would be shitty, No Power Supply either}
I finished the book by Monday, that's as jeje as I could go.
It was a really captivating, insightful and interesting read and I definitely recommend it be read and digested by any serious Nigerian Artiste regardless of their Genre of music.
It is a book that needed to be written and only Onyeka Nwelue could write it so.

Revenge of the Rats II

04-06-13
that big hole u see is thanks to the famished rats
The rats decided carting away my sponge (http://tamikoadyms.blogspot.com/2013/04/revenge-of-rats.html)wasn’t enough (of which I found it under my cooker while cleaning up the kitchen) and it was time for payback as I have starved them and tried to chase them away. First they broke my light bulb which is their ladder for coming into the kitchen and then dey tried another tactic to get my attention, they decided they would eat through the flexipipe under my kitchen sink. That totally got my attention!! My kitchen is split in 2 by a wooden demarcation ‘cos I’m not a fan of sharing or leaving open  to strangers the space I make my meals. Food is very sensitive; the foodstuff, the preparation and medium of taking it in (eating utensils), I feel safer/better knowing I am responsible for all. The kitchen got flooded ‘cos whenever my neighbours opened their tap it would flow through the connecting pipe to my side of the demarcation and all the water would end up on the floor thanks to eaten up pipe. I had to pay a plumber 3k for workmanship, transport and to buy the plastic type of pipe they can’t eat through, I also called a carpenter to seal off their ladder hole where my lamp holder is connected to and to paint the water soaked wood with oil paint and spray it with solignum to ward off termites (I no get power for any new fights) and that cost 5k. All together I spent 9k, plus my transportation from work to supervise the jobs *sigh, it is well. I would have loved to fumigate but that will involve my neighbours also relocating during the process and they are not down for that, hopefully these measures will deter them and send dem scurrying elsewhere to find food otherwise I will employ the use of rat gum, poison and the likes to get rid of them. Hope y’all are having a rodent free week unlike moi.

Revenge of the Rats

I have rats in my compound (if you live in Nigeria, you know rats are not out of the norm), I wonder what the eerie Cats are doing that they have not gotten rid of all of them o!anyways i hate rats! and bugs and all related species. I am not a fan of rat poison and traps tho sadly so i secure my foodstuff, keep my house door closed and leave the cats to rest. Well the rats have had enough of me starving them!! Their revenge? they decided to cart away my sponge into the ceiling and chewed on kicked my electric bulb down on it's way back to the ceiling. i had quite a laugh about the sponge though. I guess it's time to employ stricter measures against them. This is War!!!!! Fumigation time!

FUELLING POVERTY TRAILER #1

Monday, 26 March 2012

Monday Night in town

It was my darling friend's birthday and it happened to fall on a Monday!!of all the days! what could i do but celebrate the addition of another year to S's life. We started our night around 11pm, he came to pick me from home and we went to De-Carribean with his cousins, some of his friends were already there waiting for us. We ordered drinks (Hennessy,Baileys,Chapman, etc) and small chops (peppered gizzard, beef, kidney). The night started out with us sitting around and a bit of chitchat then as the DJ got real hot with the music and we started to dance. It was loads and loads of fun, i danced and danced and one of his cousins (the married one) showed that she still knew her onions! She left after a few hours 'cos she has a husband and 3kids to attend to, we on the other hand continued to rock away, some more friend's of S came around and we all mingled, then his bday mate came around, long story short, there were a lot of peeps and we had loads of fun dancing. We left there around 3am and drove to Aramis, i have to say i had no idea how vibrant the night life was in Abuja! especially on a monday, the streets were lit, the clubs around had their entrances crowded. i had to wonder if all these people had nothing better to do and if not, why they were not asleep in their houses. Young people that looked like they were in Secondary School were smoking and running loose and wild! When we entered Aramis, it was brimming full! i had to wonder, we did not stay there for up to 10 mins. It was already around 4am and as much as i hated to be a buzz kill, sleep was calling out @me real loud and i had to be at work for 8am the next day so i had to tell the birthday boy that i had to go. He decided to drop one of his other friends and i at home and his friend's place was quite some distance from town. What happened after this was jst too funny for me to even laugh (it wasn't funny at the time though but u know how u can just find humor in things past). The police stopped us at a popular roundabout for their usual stop and search procedure, on our way to drop V at home, we were 2 girls and a guy(he was driving) in the car,  all our papers were complete and my friend had his license on him, i noticed things were taking longer than usual and i was very uncomfortable and cranky 'cos it was about 4am and i had to be at work for 8am later that morning, i wanted the whole thing over with ASAP so i could hug some hours of sleep and be a bit useful at work later. Next thing i heard murmurings and they were asking my friend who we were and where we were coming from, in my mind i'm like how the fuck is this any of their business!!!our papers are complete, he has his license, their work was done so what was all these extra stupid questions for. They came around and were murmuring stupid things to V and I but we ignored them, i heard my friend telling them we are his friends and we just got back from an outing. They said we should follow them to their station and despite asking severally what our offence was, we got no replies. We had to follow them to avoid any trouble after all they had guns and we had done nothing wrong for them to charge us with so it will all be settled at the station, just more of our time wasted. Anyone who knows the Nigerian Police especially the ones that stand on the road, knows their behaviour, half the time they involve u in pointless chitchat or try to get a bribe out of you. Long story short we followed them to the so called station with one of them seated in the front seat. My morning was slowly becoming a nightmare!there's nothing i hate more than having anything to do with the police. We got to the place they said was their station and it happened to be some kind of environmental control place i really dunno what they call it, they told us to drive in and we did and we waited for them to come and table their case, so we'd get outta there. You will not believe after we drove in these policemen left!!!! they did not even speak with the officers in the place, they just left so we had to face those ones and tell them we wanted to leave. One of the fools there said we had to wait there till morning since the officers had left as they cannot release us since they did not know our offence!! This was where i lost my cool, i had been seated quietly all the while observing their folly play out. I got out of the car and threatened the officer that i'd be making calls to people that they would not like to see, my friend was also yelling and furious and was already making calls, we asked to see the officer in charge or else all hell would break lose as it was only in this Goddamned Country that one would be taken into custody with no offence committed. About 5mins later, the officer in charge comes out and we manage to calm down and explain the situation to him, he said it was probably because of the way we were dressed that they had brought us there and i pointed out that he had NOT picked us from the street!! we had left our seperate houses, met at the club, had fun and were heading home to rest. He finally stated that the policemen had no reason for bringing us there as it was only in cases where prostitutes were being picked up by men that such arrests could be made. He said even if we were naked in the car, it was none of the police officer's business and that was not their work, he apologized and said he did not want any trouble and could not hold us in custody as we had committed no offence and the stupid officers who brought us there had not bothered to enter and inform them before leaving. I had never feel so insulted and mistreated!! I have heard of police injustice severally but this was a first hand experience! They had used the fact that they were authorities and had weapons to bully us for no reason and they had wasted our time! I was boiling as we got back into the car, we finally dropped V off and had to go pick his other 2 friends at the club before heading home. He told them the story and they were furious, they said they wished they had been there as they would have made a lot of trouble, Trust me, they would have, I'm glad they were not in the car as we would have spent more time there arguing since both of them were quite high, we passed the roundabout the stupid policemen had stopped us and they were all gone!bloody fools and assholes!! I just wanted to get some sleep, it was already 5:30am. I finally got home and got the much needed rest, needless to say i got to work an hour late but i wasn't useless (Thank God!) oh and let me give a description of what V and I's dressing that was considered sooooooo inappropriate, I had on a blue jean tube gown with a sweetheart neckline and a black pantyhose with flat shoes, i had left the house with a pashmina (scarf) but left it on his friends neck. V was wearing a cream loose sleeveless sequined top with jeans and a flat shoe. So please be the judge if these dressings rank as inappropriate! Anyway that was our ordeal with the Nigerian Police that are supposed to protect their citizens who instead mistreat and take advantage of them, even though there are some good ones among them. This birthday is definitely one S is gonna remember for a long time.

FIFA - FRIDAY

Apparently they lifted the ban on us on friday...lol....yipee!!!! i had a feeling that would happen tho....

FIFA - WEDNESDAY

World football governing body FIFA suspended Nigeria on Oct 4, 2010 from all its activities, over allegations of government interference in the running of football in the country. The implication of the ban is that Nigeria’s super falcons will not participate in the 2010 African Women Championship which begins later in the month in South Africa (so unfair at least they better than the super eagles or should I say super chickens, now they don’t get the chance to show off their skill), it will also deny the Flying Eagles a place to the Libya 2011 African Youth Championship as well as the Super Eagles qualification to the 2012 African Cup of Nations tournament in Equatorial Guinea and Gabon. The suspensiom will be maintained until the court actions have ceased and the duly elected Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Executive Committee is able to work without any interference.

Happy Nu Month!!

Nigeria is blessed..was thinking bout all these countries experiencing hurricanes, tornados, earthquakes, tsunamies, flood, land slide and other natural disasters..as far as i knw our worst natural disaster here is flood..we have every reason to give thanks to God..we have human resources, mineral resources, capital, land, water, etc in abundance...even if we don't make the best use of it..Singapore for example which cut out of Malaysia have to buy their water and they don't have much land so they have to build storey buildings and skyscrapers and we have more human resources than they do..yet their economy is far stronger than ours..and i believe it is because the people and the leaders want their country to move forward so they work together obeying set down rules and punishing those who go against it regardless of their position in authority..afterall it is the people who make up the country....Nigerians have diverse orientation, some don't care, some care 'bout themselves and their immediate family, some aim to make a change but do not have the capacity to,some just want their share of the national cake..and so on and so forth..Like Ribadu and ElRufai who have made commendable changes but are now being hunted down...people aren't motivated to do much than keep body and soul together...Nigeria can be much more than it is..if we all join our heads together in the right direction..there'll be a change...even with our corrupt leaders...

मिक्स्तुरे!!MIXTURE!!

It's been agood day so far, dint face trn, what could be better!!..lol..plus even though i'v been kinda brk i kip getin just enuff cash to get me throygh the day..what can i do but thank God for this...i got ma freen contacts yst..i been dreaming to have them and i finally did..next online is blue..trust me to post pics..soonest and also of my hair which i have to say i'm xtremely pleased about it's growth.hmm...I AM PROUDLY NIGERIAN..anyday but it's hard to keep being proud of your country wen there r so many f*ups..1st the President iss AWOL and did not pass authority down to the vice which leaves me wondering if he expects the country to be at a standstill till his return. I also think the constitution should be reviewed 'cos i dnt understand why the vice-president is more or less a dummy until power is handed over to him by the president and which translates that he is irrelevant when the President is on seat..i think a Vicis supposed to support the head whether present or absent..else what is he being paid for...that aside we move to the 23yr old "terrorist".....Mutallab..i wonder what got into him nad he's supposed to be learned now he has singlehandedly managed to get Nigeria on the blacklist like things were not bad enuff already;...then we move to th Jos Crisis where the muslims are just making mincemeat of Chistians, it is quite appalling the extent of religious conflicts in this country..some may say its because of illiteracy they are easily brain-washed but what can be said about some1 like Mutallab who is well-read and exposed...then we move to the Ministr of Foreign affairs who messed up during a tv show hardtalk where he spoke with so much disregard and inexperience for his position as far as i'm concerned, and a similar case with sahara reporters...what of anambra state that's without a governor..funny thing i wonder is how come we not yet at war like other countries which don't even have half of this issues and bomb themselves day and night..Nigerians are survivors they continue to exit even in the toughest conditions and for this i gotta give sm kudos 2 dem...I pledge to Nigeria my country to be \faithful,loyal and honest......
